Math 1B: (1st and 3rd period)
today we learned about conditional probability --- "the probability of A, given B."

homework: GO #5 - we did the front in class, so you need to do the back (#1-7) for homework!

today we worked on the functions with fiona tasks. no homework tonight, but be ready to work hard tomorrow!

today you took your first "show me what you know..." dealing with functions. after the quiz, we worked on WS: Function Equations.

homework: you need to look at #1 on the worksheet and rework the problem out, but change the cost per class from $5 to $8 and the initial membership fee from $25 to $50.

compound events.

Math 1B
we took notes on compound events and defined the words mutually exclusive and overlapping.

for homework, finish GO #3 and do p. 353 #1-4 in textbook. make sure to find the probability and tell whether it is mutually exclusive or overlapping.

Math 1A
we continued practicing function notation. tomorrow, you will have your first quiz over functions and function notation.

homework in textbook: p. 41 #2-6 even (each question has 3 answers that you must find!)

counting on you.

today we started UNIT 4 which is all about probability. we took notes on the basic counting principles (multiplication and addition principles) from standard MM1D1 a.

HW: p. 340 #1-9 (in your textbook!) use your notes and classwork if you need help!
