today we started solving quadratics by using the zero product property.  we went through lesson 2.5 in the notetaking guidebook.


homework: finish #1-24 in notetaking guidebook (p. 84 and 85)

new unit.

today we started our next unit: Algebra in Context.  last unit, we learned to simplify radicals, rationals, and quadratics.  in this unit, we will learn to solve each of these.


today we reviewed solving linear equations.


homework: 1st and 4th period: Board Work: Equations (ten problems involving one and two step equations) 
3rd period: none

UNIT 2 - almost complete.

yesterday and today we reviewed for the End of Unit 2 Test.  tomorrow we will FINALLY be finishing Unit 2 by testing over square roots and rationals.  students who still need to master standards from the Mid-Unit Test will also test those standards (polynomials, binomial theorem, factoring).

today we took the 12-week benchmark, which included concepts from Unit 1 and Unit 2.


tomorrow we will be doing the last standard of Unit 2: MM1A2 e  (rational expressions)
