algebra fun sheet.

today we continued practicing multiplying polynomials.  we ended the class working on an algebra fun sheet: "why is a piece of gum like a sneeze?"

today we took notes on multiplying polynomials.  remember: multiply the numbers and add the exponents!  then make sure to combine like terms and put it in standard form.

today we started UNIT 2!  we took notes on polynomials and then worked in our new workbook!


homework: p. 61 #1-9 (write the polynomial in standard form, list the degree of the polynomial, and the leading coefficient.  for extra credit: write the name of the polynomial (monomial, binomial, trinomial) and list the constant.)

today you took the Re-Test for Unit 1, where you only tested the standards you did not master.  then for those standards you STILL have not mastered, you received a standards packet.

...there is no homework tonight!  we took our Unit 1 Test today.  tomorrow you will be getting it back and making test corrections.

HW: Sequences #7-11 (fill in the blanks, tell whether the function is arithmetic or geometric, write the rule/equation for the sequence, and find the 10th term in the sequence)

#12-18 (fill in the blanks.  for extra credit, write the rule for the sequence and find the 10th term in the sequence.)
