We will go to the computer lab 3 class periods to work on these, but you will need to complete the rest at home (you need to start during spring break!!!).

DOMAINS

1. Algebra -- Explore Functions                           6. Geometry -- Investigate Geometric Figures
2. Algebra -- Simplify Expressions                      7. Geometry -- Understanding Language
3. Algebra -- Solve Equations                              8. Geometry -- Properties of Polygons
4. Data Analysis/Probability -- Outcomes            9. Data Analysis/Probability -- Relate Samples
5. Data Analysis/Probability -- Probability          10. Data Analysis/Probability -- Mean Deviation

Question Activities:
1) 10 Beginner Practice Questions
2) 10 Random Practice Questions
  3) 10 Advanced Practice Questions

After you answer each question there is a short explanation. Carefully review the explanation.
Use the paper attached to keep track of the domains and your activities.

Practice Tests:  In addition to the domains, you must complete a SMALL, MEDIUM, and LARGE Practice Test and score 70% or higher.  You may take the practice tests over and over as many times that you need. After taking the test, click on “retry” and correct the questions you missed

review it.

today we worked with distinguishing between permutations and combinations.
permutations - order matters
combinations - order does not matter

homework: review: counting principles, permutations, and combinations

thanks to all of you who stayed after school for tutorial and to help decorate for spring!

if you need extra help, look at the posts below!

combo.

today we took notes on combinations and practiced using the formula.  we also looked at word problems involving combinations.

homework: GO #2 Combinations

need extra practice???  do these for extra credit:
practice with combinations and permutations

tomorrow afternoon we are decorating my classroom for easter/spring!!!  please plan on staying after school.  you get double points for the class competition.  hope to see you tomorrow!

does order matter?

today we continued working with permutations and practiced figuring out "does order matter?"

homework: finish word problems on the back of GO #1

for additional practice, see the post below!

arrangements.

today you were introduced to factorials (!!!!!!!!) and permutations.  we practiced with each of these and will look at word problems tomorrow.

homework: G.O. #1  - permutations (G.O. = graphic organizer!).  read through the examples and do #1-4 on the front.  then on the back, circle all of the important words that let you know that order is important!

today we reviewed for the UNIT 5 TEST, which you will be taking tomorrow!

you will be testing the following standards:
MM1G1 a (distance formula)
MM1G1 b (distance from a point to a line)
MM1G1 c (midpoint formula)
MM1G1d (pythagoren theorem)
MM1G1e (triangles and quadrilaterals on the coordinate plane)

as always, your goal is to master each of these standards tomorrow when you take the test!

homework: complete the review, get parent signature, and study, study, study!

it was a great turn out in tutorial this afternoon.  i will also be holding tutorial tomorrow at 7:30am for last minute questions!
