if you do your homework, then you will make a good grade

on friday, we wrapped up Unit 1 by defining lots of "logic" words: conjecture, inductive reasoning, deductive reasoning, counterexample, indirect proof, conditional statement, if-then form, hypothesis, conclusion, negate, converse, inverse, and contrapositive. if you were absent, you need to write these definitions from your textbook. each of these words, you need to know. memorize them. learn them.

1st period:
no homework for you. congrats on winning your 1st class competition!

2nd and 3rd period: HW: Logic
write down this conditional statement: "if an angle is a right angle, then its measure is 90 degrees."
tell whether its true or false. then write the converse, inverse, and contrapositive and write its truth value.

some websites to check out for additional help on logic: http://hotmath.com/hotmath_help/topics/converse-inverse-contrapositive.html

***first person to e-mail me or post on this blog the converse, inverse, and contrapositive of this post's title will get candy on monday!***
